The northern lights were alive last night... we he The northern lights were alive last night... we heard a little too late 🤷‍♂️ this is the best we got...
Still, a nice backdrop for today’s Psalm:

The “wind and the waves roaring” (such as here The “wind and the waves roaring” (such as here and Luke 21.25) is a metaphor for the nations of the world.
Has ever been as blustery as it is now..? Quite possibly.
But with each successive “storm” something new comes with it...
None of the world’s problems will be fully resolved until Christ returns...
..foreshadowed in Matthew 8.27:
“After Jesus left in a boat with his disciples, a terrible storm suddenly struck the lake, and waves started splashing into their boat. Jesus was sound asleep, so the disciples went over to him and woke him up. They said, “Lord, save us! We're going to drown!” But Jesus replied, “Why are you so afraid? You don't have much faith.” Then he got up and ordered the wind and the waves to calm down. And everything was calm. The men in the boat were amazed and said, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8:23-27‬ ‭CEVUK‬‬
“The God of the living...” Someone once said “The God of the living...”
Someone once said only two things are certain... death and taxes!
Well, Jesus deals with both of these issues in the Gospel of Mark chapter 12.
Death?
He’s the God of the ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who, at the time of Jesus and at the time of you reading this post, all three are in the ground. And so Jesus resurrection wasn’t a one off. All who respond to the call can be saved to eternal life through Jesus.
Taxes?
Whose image was on the coin? Caesar’s.
Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar — in our case, the government. Worldly wealth is not important.
What is important is that we be sure to give to God that which is his. Give him the best of our time and our love to others as we love ourselves. And pay attention to the promises God has made to this world. He’s promised great things!

“But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
In these dark times people need comfort, spiritual guidance and a reminder of the need for love, compassion, forgiveness, and (of course) salvation.
Jesus was raised... human death is no longer a barrier to immortal life in God’s Kingdom on earth.

““But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies ““But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.”
