Glasgow – European Championships
During August we held the THE RACE FOR YOUR LIFE EXHIBITION at the Lighthouse and could be found at a number of pop-up stands at the European Championships 2018 venues.
Check out our videos from the event, and listen back to the podcasts of the presentations.
Dundee – Popup Charity Shop
This summer (end of July) in Broughty Ferry, we had a popup charity shop raising funds for Christadelphian Meal A Day, who support sustainable projects that focus on supporting vulnerable children, the provision of clean water, basic health care & education, and a meal a day.
Raising money for Meal A Day will help but not solve ‘world hunger’. However we have found real hope in the Bible – God will solve all the world’s problems.
We believe everyone can have hope in their lives through the Bible’s message. Read more
The shop raised a lot of money with all proceeds going to Meal A Day, in particular to help the School for the Disabled in Nalondo, Kenya.
Hope Stones
Dozens of fantastically colourful HOPE stones were hidden along the front of Broughty Ferry. Prizes were given to the many children who found them and brought them into the shop – and a grand prize given to the person who found the most throughout the week. The lucky winner found a whopping 35 stones!
Although the shop has now closed, the hunt continues! We have re-hidden quite a few of them locally, but others have turned up in Carnoustie and some are on their way to Nottingham. If you find one, join in the fun with #SFHscot on Instagram or Twitter, and hide it somewhere else for the next person!
